Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-11
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Ogle, a developer API for generating dynamic Open Graph images and full-page screenshots (the “Service”).
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Talrax (“we”, “us”, or “our”). You can reach us at support@talrax.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Ogle provides HTTP endpoints that render 1200×630 Open Graph images (/api/og) and capture full-page screenshots of public URLs (/api/screenshot). Output is returned as image/png. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available.
3. Accounts and API keys
Some features require an account, provided through our authentication provider. When you sign up we issue you a personal API key (prefixed ogs_). You are responsible for:
- Keeping your API key secret and secure.
- All activity that occurs under your key or account.
- Notifying us promptly at support@talrax.com if you believe your key has been compromised.
A shared preview key powers on-site previews and the Studio for evaluation only; it is locked to this site and may be rate-limited, changed, or withdrawn at any time.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Capture, generate, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that violates the rights of others.
- Screenshot or process URLs you are not authorized to access, or that are behind authentication you do not control.
- Circumvent, disable, or overload usage metering, rate limits, or plan quotas — including by creating multiple accounts to exceed limits.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its infrastructure, or other users’ data.
- Resell or redistribute the Service as a substantially similar standalone product without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate access that we reasonably believe violates this section.
5. Plans, billing, and payments
The Service is offered on Free, Pro, and Scale plans, each with a monthly request quota. Current pricing and limits are shown on our pricing page.
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record (MoR) for all purchases. This means Paddle — not us — is the seller/reseller of record: Paddle handles checkout, billing, the collection and remittance of applicable taxes, and payment disputes. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms. Paid plans renew automatically each month until cancelled.
Exceeding your plan’s monthly quota returns an HTTP 402 response until the quota resets or you upgrade. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your dashboard.
6. Cancellation and termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect immediately: your subscription ends at once and your account reverts to the Free plan right away. You will not be charged again, and the current billing period is not prorated or refunded (see our Refund Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to us or others.
7. Service availability and disclaimer
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated images or screenshots will meet your requirements. Service level commitments, if any, are those stated on your plan.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the three (3) months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated where practicable. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
